PCRH expands on the field of Reproductive psychology examines the psychological aspects of human reproduction. It encompasses the emotional and cognitive processes that individuals and couples experience throughout different phases of reproduction, from conception, and pregnancy to childbirth and parenting as well as reproductive decline.

Central to our work in reproductive psychology are the influences of biological, social, and psychological factors on fertility, reproductive choices, struggles and health.

At PCRH, we aid individuals and couples to make decisions about parenthood, fertility, health, reproductive disease management and the ways in which people cope with related stress or potential treatments involving them.

The Clinic for Psychological Counselling on Reproductive Health & Challenges (PCRH) is operated by Dr Rahul Taneja & Dr Ansha Patel.

About Dr. Rahul Taneja

Dr Rahul is a Consultant Psychiatrist & Adult Mental Health Specialist. He holds an MBBS from SNMC Jodhpur, M.D. in Psychiatry and a Diploma in Psychological Medicine (Both from Kasturba Medical College , MAHE, Manipal). He is registered under RMC and MCI, India. His core work competencies are: Child and Adult Mental Health, Psychiatry Rehabilitation, Community Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry. His broad work experiences spans across the last 13years.

It involved residency at Dept of Psychiatry, Maharaja Agrasen Medical College (Haryana) as well as Dept .of Psychiatry, Kasturba Medical college, Melaka Medical College and RNT Medical College.

Presently he is a visiting consultant with GBH American hospital, Paras healthcare based in Udaipur, Rajasthan. He offers wide spectrum help covering clinical assessment and management of Reproductive Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Premenstrual and Postpartum psychological care and disorders, Complex Neuropsychiatric conditions, Emergency Psychiatric conditions, Addiction issues, Psychological Crisis in Women, Children, Emotional problems /stress induced conditions, Mood and Anxiety disorders such Depression/ Anxiety/ Fear/Phobias/Crying spells/Anger issues etc, Lifestyle issues and Personality problems etc.

He has a working experience of 13 years with multiple setups and over 50,000 successfully treated cases. In Udaipur over the last 5 years, he has 21,000 treated cases.


About Dr. Ansha Patel

Dr Ansha Patel is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Psychotherapist, Clinical Researcher, Scientific Advisor and Columnist. She is qualified with a Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Applied Clinical Psychology (Gold Medalist) from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi , MPhil in Clinical Psychology from MCOAHS, Manipal and a PhD in the areas of Reproductive Psychology & Infertility (from Kasturba Medical College ,MAHE, India ). She recently completed her fellowship under the esteemed MAHE-FAIMER in Preventive Psychiatry based at Manipal, Karnataka.

She has received several awards and has been associated as a doctoral scholar and faculty with Dept. of Psychiatry and Dept. of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at KMC , Manipal and at various medical colleges (MAMC at Hisar , RNT Medical College, Udaipur) in India. She is additionally been a scientific advisor and a senior consultant (Womens mental health & Reproductive Psychology) to Vyanalife Digital Fertility Solutions, Bangalore.

She has an active and extensive research profile with over 450 citations build over the last 10years. She is also empanelled as a referee (for domains of reproductive health, women’s health, fertility issues and psychology) for several indexed journals under Biomedical Central, Wolter Kluwer , Springer Nature group and Sage Publications.

Her Role at PCRH

Dr Ansha Patel holds an expertise is the field of ‘Women’s Mental Health’ co-heads CMBS, where she is in-charge of super-specialty mental health clinics for Women & Men at all stages of reproductive health.

She is a clinical consultant at Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Paras healthcare , Udaipur, Rajasthan. She is an active collaborator with MAHE, Karnataka and Subhag Healthtech. She is also a freelancing Columnist for e-magazine Talking about Sexual and Reproductive Health Issues (TARSHI) and Reproductive Health Club magazine (RHCM).

She has an interest and expertise in ‘Behavior Medicine, Reproductive Psychology, Women’s mental health, Preventive Psychiatry, Perinatal Psychiatry, Telepsychiatry , Trauma based work’ and is highly trained as a Cognitive Behavior Therapist and Mindfulness based Interventionist.

She has a working experience of 11 years with over 20,000 successfully treated cases. In her work profile, she has accomplished treating 13,000 cases in and around Udaipur in last 4 years.

She has recently stepped into the active role of ‘Mental health advocacy’ especially in the domains of FERTILITY ENHANCEMENT, EMOTIONAL WELLNESS IN PREGNANCY, BEATING POST-PARTUM BLUES, MATERNAL & CHILD MENTAL HEALTH & PERINATAL PSYCHIATRY.

Dr. Aarti Umakant Rapol

Dr. Aarti is a renowned Fertility and IVF Consultant. She is qualified with an MBBS, DNB, P. G. Diploma in Obsterics & Gynaecology. She is currently associated as a Senior Consultant with Cloudnine Hospitals , Pune, Maharashtra. She is an expert in Reproductive Medicine & as an Infertologist. She has a working experience of around 24 years and multiple associations in past with reputed institutions and fertility-setups.


Dr. Akanksha Tripathi

Dr. Akanksha is an MBBS, MS, fellowship in Gynae-Endoscopy and Infertility.

She is currently working as consultant gynaecologist and laparoscopic surgeon at Paras Health, Udaipur. She has 15 years of work experience. I’m also the treasurer of Udaipur Obstetric and Gynaecological Society and the Joint Secretary of Udaipur Menopause Society. She has been a tutor for sexual and reproductive medicine at Learna online course affiliated to University of Wales, UK. She has earlier worked in medical colleges and corporate hospitals in various cities including Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Apart from her professional work she is a keen painter ,cyclist Shes won several awards including that from FOGSI and participated in various state as well as national level conferences both as faculty and delegate.


Dt. Amrutha Gowri

Dt. Amrutha is a Consultant Nutritionist & Wellness Expert. She is qualified as a BSc & MSc in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics from University of Madras. She specializes in fertility nutrition, management of lifestyle disorders - Metabolic diseases, Endocrinal conditions, Subfertility & Obesity. Presently she is freelancing specialist with multiple affiliations in Bangalore, Karnataka. She has a working experience of around 28 years.


Dr. Sonali Mathur

Dr. Sonali Mathur is an expert physiotherapist with BPT and MPT (from IIMH, New Delhi )

She is presently working at her own setup in Udaipur named as Advanced neuro and physio clinic. She is also an International Certified Practitioner for antenatal and postnatal physiotherapy.

She has a working experience of 20 years. She is certified from IAP & CAPPA.Her speciality areas involve women's health, paediatrics, neurology and neuro-psychiatric rehabilitation.


Dr. Vani Taneja

Scientific Coordinator & Associate Expert

Dr Vani is a Consultant Pedodontist & Assistant Professor at: Batterjee Medical College, Jeddah. She is qualified with a BDS, MDS, DCI from MCODS, MAHE, Karnataka. She has a working experience of 8 years. Dr Vani specializes in Child & Adolescent Dentistry and Preventive Dentistry.


Dr. Swapnil G. Nigam

Dr Swapnil is a Consulting Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist & Counsellor. He is qualified as MBBS, MD (Psychiatry), DPM and has an experience of 6 years. He specializes in Adult Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry and De-addiction. He is an alumni of King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College , Mumbai. He works at Krishna Children's & Multi-Speciality Clinic, Kandivali (East), Mumbai.


Dr. Arjun Asok

Dr. Arjun is qualified as MBBS, MD in Biochemistry, MCE in Clinical Embryology , PG Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Medicine. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Dept of Biochemistry, at the esteemed Kasturba Medical College, MAHE, Manipal, Karnataka. He has a working experience of 7 years. He has an expertise and interest in Genetic Disorders, Inborn Errors of Metabolism, New-born Screening, Chromatography Techniques, Clinical Biochemistry, Metabolic & Reproductive Medicine.


Dr. Neda Haseeb Khan

Dr. Neda is Fertility Counsellor, Special Educator and an experienced Psychologist. She is qualified with a Bachelors in Psychology, Masters in Applied Psychology (Specialization-Clinical Psychology), B.Ed. Special Education (Specialization-Learning Disability) and P.G. Diploma in Guidance and Counselling from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She is currently a doctoral scholar at the esteemed Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and has been working with psychosocial evaluation of infertile couples and helping sub-fertile women cope with various fertility-related emotional challenges, since the last 4 years. She has a strong academic background and rigorous clinical exposure in infertility. She has been helping people going through infertility treatment and in managing their mental health issues. She has worked as a research assistant and peer reviewer for several eminent journals.


Dr. Arwa Kotwal

Dr Arwa is consulting physiotherapist specialized in neuro-physiotherapy and rehabilitation. She pursued her bachelor's in Physiotherapy (BPT) from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and further completed her masters in Neuro-physiotherapy (MPT) from the esteemed K.J. Somaiya college of physiotherapy, Maharashtra. She is a also registered physiotherapist under Maharashtra OT/PT Council and have a total working experience of 6 years. Over these years, she has assessed and treated patients with various musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiopulmonary problems. I have also volunteered as a physiotherapist at various marathons like TATA Marathon & OXFAM. Previously, she had also worked as a senior physiotherapist at Paras healthcare, Udaipur.

Currently, she is with 'health care at home' (HCAH) company, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is also currently practicing as a freelance physiotherapist in Mumbai as well as for CMBS Udaipur.
